0 HOW TO MAKE YOUR WINDOWS MENUS LOAD FASTER.

If you are not satisfied with the speed at which your window's menu responds when clicked on,then it's time to make it faster. In this post,I will be giving you a simple trick to turn it into a thunder bolt. In my previous post,I wrote on how to increase shutdown speed in WindowsXP!!,and this post can be said to be a continuaton of Speeding up your Pc.

DECREASE MENU DELAY.

With this trick,you can decrease the delay between clicking on a menu and XP displaying the menu.Just follow the instructions carefully.

• Go to Start » Run and Type “Regedit” then click on Ok
• Find this query» HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Desktop\ and Select MenuShowDelay
• Next,right click and select “Modify”.Reduce the number to anything,but preferably “100”{the lower the faster}. This is the time the menu delays before it opens.

0 INCREASE SHUTDOWN SPEED IN WINDOWS XP.

One of the defect/shortcomings of WindowsXP is its slow shutdown speed.

Though,this problem can be said to be default because there's a way to actually reduce the time XP waits before automatically closing all running programs when given the command to shutdown.

Speed-up XP shutdown.

STEP1:-

• Go to Start » Run,Type Regedit and Click ok.
• Find this HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\ and Select WaitToKillAppTimeout.
• Right click and select “Modify”.Change the value to 1000 and Click “OK”.
• Next,select HungAppTimeout & Right click it » Select “Modify” and change the value to ́1000̀.Click ́OK̀.

STEP2:-

• Find HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop » Select WaitToKillAppTimeout and Right click it.
• Select “Modify” & change the value to ́1000̀.Click ́OK̀

STEP3:-

• Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\ & Select WaitToKillServiceTimeout
  

Right click and select “Modify”. Change the value to ́1000̀.Click ́OK̀.

0 TRICK TO MAKE COMPUTER SPEAK WHAT YOU TYPE.

Windows comes with a built-in voice system which only few people realize. In this tutorial,I'll be giving you a script which can make your computer speak whatever you tell it to.

NOTE»If this script does not work for you,then that means you do not have the "SAPI" installed on your pc.

HERE'S THE SCRIPT.

HOW TO USE THE SCRIPT?

Open Notepad,copy-paste the script above and save it as speak.vbs.Make sure you include the .vbs Now,double click on the saved note,i.e speak.vbs and you’ll see an input box. Next,type in your message and press enter; Your computer should speak to you now.

COMPUTER DOES NOT SPEAK?

Like I mentioned above,in the case your computer doesn't speak,it could be either»

1. Your browser displays the quotation marks differently. Go back to Notepad and open the note you saved earlier.Replace the quotes(") & make sure it displays well. Save the file and try it again.
2. You do not have the SAPI installed on your computer which can only be the case of a pirated copy,because the Sapi comes pre-installed on computers.

1 HOW TO DISABLE INSTALLATION IN SYMBIAN PHONES AFTER BOOTING.

I was just surfing the net when I came across this tutorial and thought it might be of help to someone.

In some symbian phones,there's always the issue of slow booting due to applications installing each time the phone is switched on.

The phone takes time to load,and this could be very frustrating.

If you are facing such problem on your mobile phone,then follow these simple steps.

1. Open/launch a file manager such as X-plore or FExplorer.
2. Open your memory card{E:} folder and locate 'Private Folder' using your file manager.
3. Next,Open the private folder & search until you find this»10202dce.
4. On getting that,just delete the folder i.e10202dce.

Note:-make sure you don't delete the PRIVATE. folder.

THAT'S ALL!!! Your symbian phone should stop the automatic installation now.

UPDATE.
In order to gain access to “PRIVATE” folder,download & install Rompatcher_plus.
Next,open/launch it and click on Open4All RP+ to get a green tick.Once that is done,go back to Xplore & you can now open the folder.
