3 How To View/Disable Plug-ins In All Browsers

For some reasons best known to you, you might want to disable/view plug-ins on your PC's browsers.
These Plug-ins consists of Flash players, Java etc and often adds some loop-hole to the security of the Computer.

Therefore in this tutorial, we'll be relating on how to disable these individual plug-ins on all popular browsers.
Note :
Each browser has its own peculiarity as well as different ways of viewing these installed Plug-ins.

Mozilla Firefox

Accessing installed plug-ins in Mozilla is quite easy compared to other browsers.
Just Click on the Firefox Menu button » Add ons » Plugins

Now, to disable individual plugins, simply click on the ‘Disable’ button.
You can equally get additional information about a specific plugin by clicking Options.

To gain access to firefox's old plug-ins page, type the following in the address bar and hit enter
about:plugins.

Google Chrome

To view installed plug-ins in Google Chrome, type chrome://plugins in the browser's address bar and hit Enter.
Once there,you will discover that most(if not all) of the plug-ins there are set to notify you each time it's to be used.
You can get rid of the stress by checking the boxes under the specific plug-in you would like to run automatically.

Opera Browser

Opera plug-ins are hidden in a page and can be accessed only with a short code (just like chrome).
To view these plug-ins, type opera:plugins in address bar and hit Enter.

From this page,you can enable/disable installed plug-ins using the ‘Disable’ button.
Note :Changes will take effect after restarting browser.

Internet Explorer

Plug-ins in Explorer are listed with other browser add-ons installed in the computer system.
To access it,click on the gear/spanner menu at the top right corner of the screen and select ‘Manage add-ons’.

Now, click on the drop-down box at the left-side of the pop-up to view all add-ons at once.
To disable an add-on,simply select it in the list and make use of the ‘disable’ button at the bottom-right-corner of the screen.

HOW TO UNINSTALL A PLUG-IN.

As you might have noticed, browser's do not have an in-built way to un-install plug-ins.
So,just go to the Control Panel and locate the plug-in(s), then, un-install it as you would a normal widows' application.
