This is a very short post which I stumbled upon while surfing the net,& thought it could be useful for you.There are many anti-virus which are only space-eaters,as they are redundant and sometimes,will even invite a malware/virus,rather than discard them.
With this simple trick,you can know which of your anti-virus is working and which is not.
Open a wordpad or note pad and save the code in the box.Save it as eicar.com .While saving this,your anti-virus should warn you,but do not fret,the code is not harmful.
If the antivirus does not warn you,then its just a decoration.

i have Mc Afee antivirus paid edition.it does not warn me after doing the above.what should i do?
You should check if its 'virus database' is up-to-date,if not try updating it or betterstill,just uninstall the application and get another one such as Avast.
How can i trust you man you telling the truth?And what if is itself a virus....Why should i do it and infected my pc more....But from the other hand i hate virus,and someone lately send me powerfull virus that was sending on an e-mail to destroy my pc and uninstall windows 7 and reinstall it i was remember thank god that e-mail and i didnt open it...Dont trust intellegent people because you dont know where this is gonna end up...Better solution Dont Trust anyone ONLINE!
